Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) President and his colleagues were arrested when they stages a dharma and obstructed traffic at the Chief Rationing Office in Secunderabad on Thursday.
Addressing a gathering of a cheering fans and party supporters, he said the prices of essential commodities have increased by hundred percent after the congress came to power two months age. He has alleged that the congress which has promised that prices would be controlled and came to power when the people voted it, believing the promises, has totally ignored the prices. Stating that the price of toor dhall which is essential for the poor as well as the children living in the hostesls, has gone up to Rs.70 and went out of reach of the poor.
Chiranjeevi has said that if the government did not control the prices, his party’s agitation would intensity.
