IIT-JEE reveals eligibility cut-off marks

A general category student will have to get 10 % in each subject, other backward class students (OBCs) nine percent and Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Physically Disabled (PD) students five percent.

In addition to these minimum marks, a student will have to clear aggregate cut to be eligible to be part of all India ranking. The aggregate cut-off for general category students is 35 %, for OBCs 31.5 % and SC/ST/PD 17.5 %.

It will mean that if a general category student scores 14 marks out of 136 in all three subjects --- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics --- has overall aggregate cut-off of 143 out of total 408 marks, he or she will be eligible for the rank
