Bihar School Examination Board has been declared the Bihar
Teachers Eligibility Test (TET) December 2011 exam results published on 15th
May 2012. A total of 1.47 lakh (1,47,984) candidates have cleared the Bihar TET
exam out of 26.79 lakh (26, 80,337) candidates who had written the examination
in 21st and 22nd December 2011 and January 2012. This year only 5.52 percent candidates
have qualified Bihar Elementary Teachers Eligibility Test (BETET).
In the Group A Exam for the recruitment of teachers for class first to five (1st to 5th) - 21.62 lakh candidates appeared but only 2.81 percent candidates have qualified. For group B exam held for class six to eight (6th to 10th) - 5.17 lakh candidates appeared but only 16.86 percent have cleared the test often referred as Bihar TET. General / OBC Caniddates cutoff marks percentage is 60 and 55% for SC/ST category caniddates. The Bihar state teacher recruitment process will be started within four months, Bihar Education minister P. K. Sahi said.
