CIVIL SERVICES (MAIN) EXAMINATION, 2011
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday declared the results of the Civil Services 2011-12 examinations with the top two spots going to women candidates. Shena Aggarwal, an MBBS from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) became the topper. Shena, who is from Yamuna Nagar in Haryana, cleared the Civil Services exam in her third attempt.
Based on the results of the written part of Civil Services
(Main) Examination, 2011, held by the Union Public Service Commission in
October-November, 2011 and the interviews for Personality Test held in
March-April, 2012, the following is the list, in order of merit, of candidates
who have been recommended for appointment to –
(i) Indian Administrative Service;
(ii) Indian Foreign Service;
(iii) Indian Police Service; and
(iv) Central Services, Group ‘A’ and Group ‘B’.
A total number of 910 candidates have been recommended for
appointment including 420 General (including 21 Physically Challenged
candidates), 255 Other Backward Classes (including 8 Physically Challenged
candidates), 157 Scheduled Castes (including 4 Physically Challenged candidate)
and 78 Scheduled Tribes candidates.
